MARBLING

This is not a faux finishes. We do not do fake finishes at John Kline Color Design. These are artistic interpretations and recreations of any kind of stone imaginable. Some of the first examples of marbling go back to the Roman days . Through the years marbling has been used in museums, theatres,  hotels, churches, restaurants country clubs and residents. Fireplaces, pillars, crown moldings ,furniture, walls and counter tops are all surfaces where marbling can  be used to create a stunning effect.

In the mid 1800s it was cheaper to buy a slab of marble and have it installed than it was to have an artist paint the marble. It was considered much more prestigious to have an artist come from Europe, put them up and have them create a marble with paint. These artistic interpretations often looked rather painterly. At JKCD we create artistic interpretations of any kind of stone that actually looks like the desired marble, granite or limestone.

ADVANTAGES: Allows you to expand on existing elements. Can save you thousands of dollars to match marble ( Pillars, crown molding, etc..)
