VENETIAN PLASTER

Hundreds of years ago lime used for Venetian plaster was slaked . This process involved putting the lime under water for three years.  Today authentic, and synthetic Venetian plasters are much more readily available.  Synthetic plasters re emulsify when they are wet and are great for fresco s. Authentic Venetian plaster is recommended for all other treatments. As with paint colors, all Venetian plaster colors are mixed and adjusted on site. There are a variety of finishing styles available,  from old world cat facing to completely burnished marmarino.

ADVANTAGES: Dust doesn't stick, helps insulate sound, very hard and doesn't burn.
